The Very Rev Michael J. Pitts is Rector
of the Cathedral and Dean of the Diocese of Montreal, responsible for the
life of Christ Church, both as parish and Cathedral Church.
The Rev Dr Elizabeth Rowlinson (who also sings with the Cathedral singers), The Rev Dr Roger Balk All have contributed to our Sermons webpage, where you will also see sermons by The Rev'd Paul Jennings, a former priest at the Cathedral and now Director of Pastoral Studies at the Montreal Diocesan Theological College.
Music Department The musical life of the Cathedral, which comprises both liturgical music and concerts and recitals is under the direction of . In the Cathedral choirs, a number of the Cathedral Singers are professionals who sing under contract. The rest are volunteers.

843-6577 (ext. 371) Lay office staff The Cathedral office occupies 2 floors in the south-east corner of the KPMG office tower, in space shared with the Diocese of Montreal. Known as Cathedral Place, the church offices have their own entrance at 1444 Union Avenue.
Office Hours: The Cathedral Secretary's office is open Monday to
Thursday from 9 am to 4:45 pm and is closed on Friday. Eva Brebner, the
works Monday to Wednesday and Ann Stephen works on Thursdays. Ann Elbourne volunteers on Wednesday mornings and Helen Wiegand on Thursdays.
Vergers The Cathedral is open throughout the week, and the liturgy and offices of the Church are celebrated daily - see the Services page. Mr Al Backman, senior verger, is responsible for the preparation of the services, as well as the day to day cleaning and maintenance of the building. Mrs maintains the Cathedral archives and prepares extracts of records. |
