The Deanery of Brome-Shefford is located in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. Set among these beautiful rollings hills are small communities in which the Anglican Church has had a long-standing presence of worship and service.
Our Deanery has six parishes within its boundaries. Most are multi-point parishes. Half of the parishes have full-time clergy, while the others operate with part-time and retired clergy.
Most recently, our deanery has been discussing how we can develop a model of "total common ministry" in which the clergy and the laity together take care of ministry on Sunday mornings and throughout the week.
We work more closely now as a deanery and also do many things ecumenically with our neighbours. Our witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ continues to develop and change as our society in which we find ourselves changes.
We hope those who live here and those who visit will take time to be with us on Sunday mornings or through the week as we journey with Christ in his ministry of love to all the world.
