| The Reverend Alan Evans was educated at Queen's University,
Kingston and graduated with a B.A. in 1975. A Master of Divinity was
awarded to him from Queen's & Atlantic School of Theology in Halifax
in 1980.
He was first ordained as Deacon in June 1980 by the Bishop of Ontario. He became a priest in January 1981 and served first as an Assistant at St. George's Trenton, Ontario from May 1982 to August 1985. He then, moved to the Parish of Augusta Ontario until 1988. Then he went on to serve at St. Paul's, Lachine until June 1993. Alan left St. Paul's to return to university where he obtained a teaching degree. Alan has since become a high school teacher and is currently teaching at Lakeside Academy. He has been an Honorary Assistant at St. Mark's since June of 1993. |

The Reverend Canon Dr. Donald Meloche holds degrees from the Universities of Ottawa (BA 1964), Toronto
(H.S. Teacher's Dip. 1966), Université de Montréal (Diplome de
traduction 1972), McGill (MA Fr. Lit. 1975), Montreal Diocesan Theological
College (LTH, Dip. Min. 1984), and The Graduate Theological Foundation at
Notre Dame where he earned his doctorate in Pastoral Counselling (D. Min.
1989). He has also done doctoral studies in Linguistics at McGill
University. He spent many years working as an educator, linguist and later
priest among the Cree and Algonquins of Quebec.
Ordained Deacon in June 1984 and Priest in Sept. 1984, Don ministered among Cree people in Mistassini Lake and surrounding area until 1989. He has been Director of Pastoral Services at The Montreal Children Hospital since July 1989. Don also serves as a member of the Diocesan Ethics Commission. At the Montreal Children's he is a member of the Research Ethics Committee (IRB), the Child Protection Committee, and the Committee against Violence and Abuse in the workplace. He has been funded by the Montreal Children's for further training in Palliative Care, Bereavement Counselling and counselling victims of PTSD. In 1991, he was awarded the MCH Interculturalism Prize for his work with Native People. Don has been an Honorary Assistant at St. Mark’s since 1995. |
