It is announced that our Rector of fourteen years; his fifteenth Christmas – and his last one at St.Thomas – The Reverend David Oliver has moved to new pastures. He has joined the Diocese of Quebec as an Archdeacon and he will be the Minister at the Anglican Church in North Hatley in the Eastern townships in Quebec.
During his excellent service with the Parish of St.Thomas' he has infused a lot of vitality to the Church and its many activities in the community.
He has been the prime mover of advancing St.Thomas' to its status as a really friendly Church where current members and any visiting strangers and visitors have immediately felt a part of the community.
His presence has always been strongly felt among the community. His personality and strong character will be sorely missed by everyone.
He goes forward with the best wishes for his new venture and the heartfelt thanks of all.
His last service at St.Thomas' will be Sunday January 17th, 10 a.m. there will also be a farewell Parish dinner of Saturday, January 16th, 6 p.m. tickets are available at the office $25.00 a head.
